I stumbled upon this bridge while on a Fall excursion in the southwestern Adirondacks.

EXPOSED: Oak Tree in Snow Squall
On a mid November afternoon I headed to a favorite spot in the southwestern Finger Lakes Region. As I was ‘working’ the oak tree in this picture a lake-band snow squall rolled through. I was able to squeeze-off a couple shots before ditching my camera into the protection of the car. This is image number 2 from Gallery 2.

EXPOSED: Bridge in Snow Squall
This was one of the last images I captured while on a commercial photo shoot of Ogdensburg Bridge. Bridge lighting became heavily diffused by a snow squall that blew-in from the northwest shortly after sunset. The photo was of little use to my customer but makes for a strong mood-evoking fine art image. Additional images from this photo shoot can be viewed on my commercial photography website via the link in the column to the right.

EXPOSED: The Webs We Weave
Even the most arachnophobic have responded well to a series of spider web images from a morning shoot I did on Wolfe’s Neck Peninsula near Freeport, Maine. The sun shimmering off the heavy dew on a close grouping of spiderwebs caught my eye while I was exploring. I spent an hour-and-a-half photographing these webs and their creators. This is image number 3 from Gallery 1.

EXCURSION: Adirondacks: Driveabout

Above: This photo is worthy of a ‘click-on-me’ zoom-in—broken sun on a Fall foliage foreground, clouds over Algonquin Mountain, sun shining on the rock slide West face of Colden—contrast, color, majesty . . .
I spent four hours watching, waiting, and photographing the changing panoramas before me from Adirondack Loj Road on this afternoon.
